The little rock in the distance is Eboshi rock, a local landmark. Which is apparently covered in bird poop once you get up close, which de-romanticizes the whole thing somewhat.

The little guy on the right is a local fisherman, Dave Kawabata. He uses bait made from bits of old KFC he finds in the bin next to their drive-through, which isn’t far from here.
