At the Beach

Nobody ever came to claim the surfboard above, which was a bit surprising.

It’s perhaps not surprising that nobody came to claim any of the other objects below, although I feel like they all have a unique charm. Perhaps not enough of a charm to summon up scavenger instincts.

That fish on the left – or what’s left of it – is a pufferfish. You can tell by the flattened bony spines along its back and the bony beak overhanging its mouth.

Sometimes dead things can be beautiful.
