Not a place to stay when hiking the Mournes, or indeed, a place to spot Japanese Geordies… and no sign of the “new castle” in its name?

A veritable smorgasbord of trainlines, Musashi-Kosugi is a maze of tunnels, staircases & many, many, MANY exits & entrances.

Home to a park that really should be more famous than it is, Musashi-Koganei is more enjoyable than the station might lead you to think.

Musashi-Sakai is what it is – a suburban station in Musashino city. There’s a couple of points of interest, mind.

There’s not much happening at Musashi-Seki which is a good thing – it has a really chill vibe to it.

One of the many, many, many (MANY) stations in the Urawa area, there’s not much to distinguish this particular Musashi… There’s a marsh & a chocolate factory. Will that do?

The plainest of the plain, Bushu-Karasawa hasn’t much to offer.

Out in the wilds of Saitama – this time, past some waterfalls & over some hills to arrive at a former Korean refugee settlement, named, inexplicably, for a Guns’n’Roses song.

Down where the factories live at the end of the Tsurumi line, there’s a little station without much going on around it…
