Kawasaki Daishi is a bigger-than-you-realize temple complex with some pretty nifty architecture, including this Indian style prayer hall, where requests for safe driving are sent skyward in the hopes that passengers & cars will not be.

This is the entrance to a local temple, Honzaiji. It’s been here since the 17th century, upon what was once a busy highway taking pilgrims to Ooyama. Taken with the Hipstamatic app, using the Lowy lens, Sussex film and the Juicy Orange Gel flash.
