This is the mosaic at the top of the entrance to the Yokohama Subway Station. It’s a version of the company logo. I’d love to know if it’s been there since 1972 when the line opened…

Doctor Yellow is – honest to god, swear on my life – the name of the bullet train on the left. It’s used for maintenance duties, such as track testing and fancy engineering stuff, like making sure the pantograph is connecting. You can see how it all works in this video. (Japanese only though.)
